  2. Our Objective: • Our objective was to find out how population growth and the growth of housing developments affects stream quality.

Potential Pollutants • Pesticides- used to provide healthy conditions for workers • Petroleum Products- release oils into the soil • Nutrients- fertilizers used for landscaping • Solid Wastes- waste not disposed properly • Construction Chemicals- paints, acids, cleaning solvents, etc. • Other Pollutants- water runoff, spills, improper storage

Conclusions • In Conclusion: • More people in an area = larger effect on watershed • More houses in an area = larger effect on watershed • Our local watershed (Musselman/Mill Creek) is healthy by our data. • As more people move in and more houses are built, it is our responsibility to make sure that proper procedures are being followed to ensure the health of our streams.
