  2. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: form München 2008 to Torino 2015 • Section established in 2008 during EuSEM Congress in SRN - prof. Maaret Castrénas a first chair • Chairing the section – from 2012 Jana Seblova • 2015 – NEW ELECTIONS OF CHAIR NECESSARY • till now 25 members of the section – all interested in prehospital EM are still WELCOME! • SECTION OPEN TO: medical nurses, paramedics, dispatchers – Associate membership of EuSEM possible

EUROPEAN PREHOSPITAL SYSTEMS SURVEY • Discussed last year at the meeting • stakeholders, funding, legislation, standards/guidelines, dispatch, staffing, providers – qualification, education, ED network, specific competences, crisis preparedness • Comments by section members – via e-mails • Sent to Executive members for approval (+ consultation with research section) • Council Representatives and providers – comparison of results • Will be posted on web and distributed during autumn

(Germany) “Accuracy of diagnosing sepsis and early antibiotic treatment in the pre-hospital setting” • 2014: Tracey Barron, Conrad Fivaz, Jerry Overton (Great Britain): Using EMS telephone triage data to assess the amount of ambulance resources saved through telephone triage • 2015: Award ceremony: • Riddervold I, Boetker M, Emmertsen NCH, Kirkegaard H: Telemedicine consultation with physician at the emergency medical center from ambulances enables emergency medical technicians to treat-and-leave more patients – a before and after pilot study
