NWCG Dutch creek incident within an incident response • Three main focus areas: • Standardized Medical Emergency Procedures for IMTs to include in the Incident Emergency Plans. • Standardized Communication Center Protocols • Expanded ICS 206 Medical Plan to include emergency medical procedures that will be reviewed each operational period at the Planning meeting.

What does this mean for logistics section? • Medical Unit Leaders—Lots of collaboration to do • Safety Officer • Local resources (EMS/SAR) • Key considerations • On line resources—What level of care should you plan for? • How long will it take to get an injured firefighter out? • No aviation assets available. Now what?

  5. Communications Unit Leaders— • Incident Communication Center Protocol Standard Elements • Radio operators: • What is their experience? • Do they have the Incident Communication Center Protocol Standard Elements? • Do the people on the ground have the same elements?

  6. Is your team ready? • ICS-206 Block 8, Emergency Medical Procedures • Whose preparing this document? • Who should be involved that may not be? • Do you have a plan? • Have you drilled?
