5. Warm up Physical activity: children follow instructions (they are familiar with) given by the teacher. New instruction SWIM! is introduced and shown. Presentation Children act out the new instruction and answer (mother tongue acceptable) the question: Where do you swim?. Enter sea creatures One by one, given animals appear on the background of underwater picture. The teacher names them and children repeat. Chant Children listen to and then repeat the chant. The Little Mermaid Main characters are shown on screen. Guessing game Children try to guess which animal is hidden behind which colour. Memory game Children try and repeat the animals hidden behind the colours. Ending the lesson Saying goodbye Animals leave one by one and children say goodbye, repeating animal’ names.

15. Warm up Saying hello: fish, starfish, shell and crab appear and disappear on the screen and children greet them. Presentation Animals come back one by one. Coloured clouds cover them. Children repeat the new colours (purple, pink, orange, brown) after the teacher. Find something (orange,…) Children name different things of a certain colour among pictures on the screen. Flashing colours Children name the colours as they flash on the screen. Drawing and colouring dictation Draw a big purple fish. Draw three small orange starfish. Draw two small brown crabs. Draw a big pink shell. Odd one out In a group of five pictures children find the odd one. Singing Children sing to the melody of earlier learned song new lyrics (new vocabulary) according to what is on the screen. Ending the lesson Children are put in four groups. Each group gets homework task to draw and colour: purple fish, pink fish, orange shell, blue starfish.

25. Warm up Teacher greets the children: Hello, purple fish; hello, pink fish…They answer in groups according to homework task from previous lesson. Then children greet sea creatures which appear on the screen: Hello, big purple fish, … Presentation The teacher mimes feelings: happy and sad, saying the words which children repeat While they look at pictures which appear on the screen. If you’re happy, clap your hands… Teacher gives instructions which children follow, looking at the screen. Listen and draw Children listen and draw happy and sad faces. Continue the sequence Children see a row of happy/sad faces and have to say if the next one is happy or sad. Colour happy ones pink… Children colour happy faces pink and the sad ones purple and then count them. Spot the happy/sad ones Children say which animals are happy and which are sad. Song Children first listen to the song on CD and then sing along. Ending the lesson Showtime! Children are divided in four groups according to the homework task from the previous lesson. Teacher plays the role of conductor. Later a child takes over.
