College of Arts, Sciences, and BusinessFaculty Highlights • Searches: • Enabling Materials for Extreme Environments (Chemistry and Physics) • Psychological Science (Educational Psychology and Social Psychology) • Honors: • Kathy Northcut, awarded 2015 CCCC Technical and Scientific Communication Award • Bonnie Bachman, Pathways to Innovation Program selection • Michael Davis, national publicity on value to a city of successful NFL team • Dan Reardon and Jossalyn Larson, “Reimagining the Stacks: Classroom Technology and Library Collaboration for Writing in the Disciplines,” will be publication in Fall 2015 The Journal of Student Success in Writing • Sponsored Research (as of December 2014 and compared to December 2013) • $3,083,038 awarded - an increase of 73.6% • 50% increase in number of awards and amendments
College of Engineering and Computing • The College of Engineering and Computing submitted an ‘Expression of Interest’ between The University of Missouri and Missouri University of Science and Technology to establish a STEM Graduate Institution in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Enrollment Management • Thank you to everyone that helped with the February 16 Open House. • February 28 – PRO advising begins for Fall 2015 freshmen. • March 7 - FIRST(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) FTC Robotics State Championship competition at Bullman Multi-purpose Building. 48 teams, 1500 visitors to campus.
