  1. CLC & Capstone Overview Penticton Secondary

  2. Included in this presentation are four sections that you must complete in order to achieve the 4 credits for CLC 12 and Capstone. Under each heading are the requirements with instructions on how to obtain or complete it. You must complete sections 1, 2, and 3 before you can move on to section 4, which is the exit interview. • *If you require more clarification, you can contact Mr. Belbin at pbelbin@sd67.bc.ca or Mr. Allanson at ballanson@sd67.bc.ca • **Keep organized! • You will be keeping your information on MyBluePrint in a CLC 12 portfolio.

  3. 1. Who am I? • This is where you celebrate your passions or your interests. • What have you done outside of school since you started attending Penticton Secondary? • What makes you awesome! Identify your passions and interests. Share using a video or photo or any other file type. • This is an opportunity to provide proof of your accomplishments at school and in the community. • Examples items include awards, certificates, trophies, videos, newspaper articles or just about anything you’re proud of or make you awesome.

  4. 2. WHERE ARE YOU GOING? • Think about after school is out in June. What is your plan? • You are to create a transition Plan (A) that describes what you will be doing after graduation in June. Try and set some goals and think about the first 12 months. Attached are instruction sheets to guide you through the process. Also attached are questions to answer to help you formulate your transition plan. • What if Plan (A) doesn’t work out immediately? What is your back up plan? Create another transition Plan (B) as a back-up in the event that you can’t achieve your first plan.

  5. HOW AM I GOING TO GET THERE? • This is the place where you can gather all the required information to meet your post-secondary goals. This is an important step to ensure we have collected all the information and tools required to follow our passion or interests after school. • Financial Plan • Work Experience and Volunteer Hours • Current Resume/Cover Letter • Post Secondary Applications • Scholarship Applications • Certifications (CCI Learning Opportunities) • Other Documents (First Aid, Food Safe, Passport, Vaccine Documents, or Drivers License for example)

  6. Capstone Project – April 29th • This is where you will talk about the journey. At the end of April you will be asked to present with a community member and teacher your research. This is a special opportunity to discuss where you came from and where you plan to go as you leave high school. This is a story about you and a final celebration of you!
