On This Day 3 September 1939 Prime Minister of Great Britain, Neville Chamberlain, announced declaration of war against Germany, following Germany’s invasion of Poland on 1st September 1939. 3 September The third of September is National Skyscraper Day. The Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, is the tallest building in the World. It is 828m tall and has 163 floors.

  3. Library Reminder Mrs Dufort reminded all the boys and girls to keep our library tidy and organised. When your class has finished their session in the Library, please have a quick look around to check that it’s tidy and ready for a new class.

  4. Well Done to… Well done to all those who attended Parkour sessions over the weekend. Jenna told us they had to do lots of jumping and climbing. Everyone had lots of fun.

  5. Well done to… Well done to Amy who completed the Reading Challenge over the Summer Holidays. She read 6 books and her favourite book is any written by Jacqueline Wilson.

  6. Well done to… Well done to Elsie Mae, Shannon, Molly, Zara, Tom and Alaina who took part in an Athletics Competition yesterday at Picky.

  7. Well done to… Well done to Magnus, Megan and Scott who took part in the Beach Race yesterday. Magnus said there were lots of hills, jumps and corners that you could easily crash on!!

  8. Well done to… Well done to James who was the mascot for the Orkney Rugby Team on Saturday.
