2010 May June July Stage Voice Duncan Little Theatre, Inc. PO Box 531 824 Main Street Duncan, OK 73533 580-252-8331 “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” www.duncanlittletheatre.com Producer, Kathy Buxton, wishes to thank Doug Miller for the growth that Duncan Little Theater participants experienced under his direction. All the actors and crew involved in this production thought they learned a lot from Mr. Miller. He definitely challenged our theater group and increased our expectations of what a community theater can accomplish. Mr. Miller kept reminding us to “stop saying you’re just a community theater group.” Sharon Burum and the rest of the DLT Board offer a big THANK YOU to our teen volunteers who ushered for “Charlie Brown". They were representatives from both middle and high school National Honor Societies. Great job! Farewell from Chris Cowan For me personally, theater has always been a form of release. When I’m acting on stage I can let out every pent up feeling or emotion that’s been building inside. It’s relaxing, yet electrifying. It’s serious, yet effervescent. And I was introduced to this art form by the wonderful people at Duncan Little Theatre. I was in my first play at DLT when I was four. I was in the Baby Angel Choir in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. Since then, I’ve gone on to do countless productions at DLT and various other theaters in the Oklahoma City and Lawton areas. It’s probably obvious that the amount of opportunities in the fine arts are limited in a rural city in southern Oklahoma, which is why I’m genuinely thankful that an organization like DLT exists. Many people have come and gone as volunteers over the past thirteen years, but I would like to thank each and every one of them. All of their collaborative efforts on each production I was involved in played a huge part in my personal development as an actor. The time each of these people put forth, which is often thankless, helped further my love for the theater. I have now graduated high school and will be moving on from my time as an actor and board member at DLT, but I’m not quitting. I have decided to pursue theater professionally. I have been admitted to the Musical Theatre program at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, one of the finest programs in the nation. I hope to progress as a performer and hopefully have a long and successful career. Even though I am moving on, I will never forget the brilliant people and all of the wonderful times I had at DLT.
