  2. Information for first two weeks • School starts for Junior Infants on Monday, September 1st 2008 at 10.00 a.m. • From Tuesday, September 2nd, school starts at 9.20 a.m. • Please accompany your child to the school hall on his first day, from where he will be assigned to his classroom teacher. •  €35 per child will be collected to cover the cost of copies, crayons, pencils, photocopying, report cards etc. • Birth certs and baptismal certs will be collected. Dismissal • All new entrants will be dismissed from the classroom at 12.25 p.m. for the first 2 weeks. •  Junior Infants will finish school at 2 p.m. from Monday, September 15th onwards. •  Parents are requested to collect their children from the classroom door for the first week. • From second week, parents are requested to collect the children outside the sheltered area. We request the parents to inform the teacher when a child has been collected. (This is for obvious safety reasons).

  3. Break Time Routines • Break Times for first 2 weeks • For the first 2 weeks, we recommend that parents provide a suitable lunch/snack including one drink (a resealablecontainer is preferable to cartons) and 2 other items (e.g. a sandwich, cereal bar or fruit). • The above snack time will be supervised in the classroom and the children will be accompanied to the yard for a short period of play.   • Break Times after first 2 weeks • Children will have two breaks: • 11.00 a.m.—1 item e.g. a sandwich, a piece of fruit, • cereal bar which will be taken to the yard to be eaten • 12.25 p.m.—Children enjoy approx. 20 minutes to eat remaining lunch in the classroom. We would • appreciate if a spoon was provided for yoghurts and please use small pots of yoghurts.
