Rashmi Desai who started her career at an early age, got her first break in Ravan on Zee TV followed by Meet Mila De Rabba  on Sony TV and started acting in the show Uttaran on Colors on June 20, 2009. • Rashmi is best known for playing the role of TapasyaThakur (Tappu) in the popular television soap opera, Uttaran on Colors. • She has also acted in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri and Bhojpuri movies.

She has also done guest appearances in various films like: • Dabangg 2 (Hindi)(2013) • YehLamheJudaaiKe • Kanyadaan(Assamese) • Kab Hoi GaunaHammar (Bhojpuri) • Pyar Jab Kehu Se Hoi • Jala(Bhojpuri)(2008) • BalmaBadaNaadan(Bhojpuri) • BambaiKiLailaChapra Ka • Chaila(Bhojpuri) • TohsePyarBa(Bhojpuri) .

  4. Rashmi has worked in other serials including PariHoon Main. • She has also done episodes for Ssshhhh...PhirKoiHai. She has featured in reality shows such as Comedy Circus, MahaSangram, Zara NachkeDikha, Crime Patrol, Big Money, Kitchen Champion Season 2, Comedy Ka MahaMuqabala and “jhalakdikh=laja • Rashmi is available for appearances, feature films, performances, print shoots, television commercials & television shows. • Desai is married to her co-star, NandishSandhu, since 12 February 2012.
