  3. We prepare to spend real time immersed in your presence.

  4. The Scriptures encourage us as the markets monopolise,

  5. We listen as Isaiah champions us on with abundant joy and excitement for your love,

  6. John the Baptist’s solid loyalty shouts of our need to be there for you too,

  7. The gentle dignity of Mary cradles the cold edges that often multiply.

  8. Gentle Jesus we prepare for the dawning of your birth,

  9. Forgive us for getting caught up in the shoppers countdown to Christmas,

  10. Forgetting that this is a time for Your presence not presents!

  11. Generous God, let us always be reminded of Christ in Christmas.
