NASA Commercial Technology MissionNASA’s Commercial Mission Technology mission is to impart benefits of it’s technological developments and assets toward growth of the national economy, to improve quality of life for citizens, and to contribute to the strength of the U.S. industrial base. To accomplish this mission, NASA will proactively support the development of its technology through focused technology development partnerships with U.S. businesses and will accelerate the transfer of technical innovation to commercial developers of products and services.Innovative Pre-competitive technology partnerships with industry are the cornerstone of the commercial technology successes.

FY00 Partnership Metrics Report • Target: Implement Commercial Technology Partnerships with an investment value equal to 10-20 % of NASA’s R&D budget • Performance: • Over 5,000 active partnerships in FY00 • Enterprise Baseline Complete • Center Baseline Complete • Automated Reporting Complete FY00 Actual: 19.14% NPR goal: 10-20% Data Source: GPRA Target: 10-20%
