No Cause is More Directly Related to Every Student, Their Families, and the Communities They Will Serve as Health Professionals • 51 Million School Hours a Year, Lost • 164 Million Work Hours a Year, Lost • The Number One Chronic Childhood Illness • Not Just a Dental Problem: • Oral Health is Indicative of Overall Health; • Requires Awareness of All Providers

  4. Fall 2013: Began partnership with HOSA: Future Health Professionals Fall 2014: Over 400 Chapters registered, reaching over 100,000 children Contact: youth@ncohf.org

HOSA Students: ★ Collected over 12,000 toothbrushes and toothpaste through February ★Encouraged peers to cast nearly 4,000 social media votes to win a travel scholarship contest ★ Educated preschoolers, middle schoolers, and high school peers ★ Ran presentations in classrooms, community clinics, and health fairs ★ Supported the “Wear Your Wings” campaign while fundraising ★ Attended the Mid-Winter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society with America’s ToothFairy ★ Attended the 3rd Annual NCOHF Oral Health Zone Summit in Rock Hill, SC
