About Suave Enterprises • Diversified Management and Investment Company • Provides Strategic Planning, Financial and Other Management Resources • Collaborates in Real-Estate, Beverage Distribution, Automotive Dealerships, Metal Recycling and Diversified Holdings Soave Enterprises and other large employers face a real issue surrounding the growing expense of health care costs. From the smallest nonprofit, to the corner family-owned drug store, to major corporations, the ever-changing world of health care is keeping everyone on their toes. In response to this, a new trend is taking shape in which employers like Anthony Soave and Soave Enterprises take the initiative in encouraging employees to "own" their health. Part of this strategy involves recognizing that insurance alone cannot create a healthy workforce
Ethical Initiatives • Community Engagement • Diversity • Going Green Companies like Soave Enterprises continue searching for working strategies in these areas. Recently, Soave Enterprises took the last-named strategy above to heart, and embarked on an innovative program which it calls the Million Minute Challenge.
Community Engagement • Supporting Food Banks in Detroit • Preventing Underage Drinking • Providing Holiday Cheer in Michigan and Canada • Adopting a Highway in Michigan • Arthritis Walk at Brambleton Development With the Million Minute Challenge at Soave Enterprises, one of the foundational principles of modern business is used to encourage employees to make that sometimes-hard, healthy decision: competition. Divisions of Soave Enterprises are being positioned against each other. Those divisions whose employees log the highest number of hours of exercise are then eligible for prizes. Individuals who log heroically high number of hours will also be awarded.
Diversity • Investing in women and minority-owned businesses • Partnering with businesses • Supporting the SEED (Ethics Education and Development) Initiative • Support employees in corporate values
Going Green • Intentional self-supporting communities • Ex: Brambleton • Residence near retail, employment and entertainment • Hydroponics • Tri-generational facilities using natural gas to generate heat, electricity and CO2 • Using CO2 to fertilize tomatoes • Smart Cars • 33 mpg city, 41 mpg highway With division-wide prizes at stake, it may be easier to make that hard, healthy decision. After all, Soave Enterprises coworkers depend on each other to log a high number of hours, in order to increase the likelihood of prizes for everybody. Employees engage in exercise—which, as many studies show, is one of the best ways to cut down on the likelihood of long-term health problems—and health care costs may then be reduced. The workforce is healthier and more productive.
