FLE4ALL – Community-based lifelong learning accommodating the new pedagogical demands • Member engine (enabler) • Interact engine (enabler) • Inquiry engine (enabler) • Engage engine (the core) • Composer engine (enabler) • Assign engine (enabler) • Monitor engine (enabler) The pedagogical Rubik Enablers = colored faces/elements Core = Interconnects the elements A potential ‘cure’ for the ‘pedagogical senility’ of many e-learning platforms
The Inquiry Engine within VCP-based online services Dialogue structures, quality assessment services as well as user characteristics and other user profiling and reply-interpretation factors are added by the application designer into the definition service of the inquiry engine. The content structures are then converted into a personalised user service in form of a set of information presentations and question handling service elements. Collected replies can then be processed both internally and externally.
Composer Engine features The outcomes from an inquiry in terms of path selections, relevance indications and replies to survey questions are converted dynamically by the composer engine into online presentation materials that can be interacted with by the user, individually or as group reviews/actions. Any number of composer applications can be interconnected to an inquiry application. One inquiry can also be interconnected to other inquiries in a chain of interactive dialogues.
