  1. Joe Liotine 5 Tips to Take Your Trumpet Playing to the Next Level in 2015

  2. 1. Back to Fundamentals. • Spend some time going back to fundamentals. I’m not referring to daily maintenance. I’m speaking about going back to day 1. Spend time working on your attack, sound production, and breathing. Imagine if you are able to become 10% more efficient? These improvements can only be developed by playing the fundamentals.

  3. 2. Clean Your Trumpet & Mouthpiece. • Take some time each week to clean your horn. If you can’t do it take it to a repair shop.

  4. 3. Take a Lesson. • Consider studying with a good teacher because they can improve your playing in less time.

  5. 4. Set Goals • You should have goals for your trumpet playing,. They may be either long-term or short-term. I recommend a combination of both.

  6. 5. Perform! • Make one of your goals to get out and perform for people.
