This image is only slightly different as ‘IMAGE 1’ as the spray can isn't so close up and the ‘vandal’s’ hand is covering his heart, connoting the ‘his heart of art’ and graffiti expresses this. 2. We chose the background of a brick wall as this associates with the topic of graffti and one of the most popular places where both legal and illegal graffiti is found. The use of direct address to the camera shows the focus on the spray can and directed towards the audience. This gives the poster impact. We liked the close up of the face and the spray can as it was similar to the ‘Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’ advertisement with the close up. We felt this shows what our documentary is about clearly with the stereotypical ‘vandal’ look and the well known spray can shape/image. We chose the choice of clothing due to the stereotypical thoughts of how ‘vandals’ dress with the colours they were and trying to hide their identity.
