Middle School SCHEDULE Students to Homeroom – 7:55am Homeroom – 8:05 - 8:13am 1st Period – 8:16 - 8:58am 2nd Period – 9:01 - 9:45am 3rd Period – 9:48 -10:30am 4th Period (Lunch) 10:33 – 11:15am Lunch Study -11:18 – 11:53AM 5th Period (Specials) – 11:56 – 12:38pm 6th Period – 12:41 – 1:23pm 7th Period (Specials) – 1:26 – 2:10pm 8th Period – 2:13 – 2:55pm

Directions: Teachers: Place levels on cards for English, Math, Social Studies and Science. Students: Check one Music Class: • Band • Chorus • Orchestra • Exploring Music Check one: • Phys Ed Male/Phys Ed Female
Course Leveling Levels in regular education: • Level 5 - Academic – challenging • Level 6 - Honors- more challenging High Potential- most challenging
Course Selection Timeline February 7th– Pennbrook Open House- Course Selection/Activities Night (7pm) February 1st – 19th- 6th Grade Teachers make recommendations on course selection cards; Students choose a music in class March 26– Verification sheets sent home with 2nd marking period report card April 29th– Verification sheets due back to Pennbrook only if changes are needed May – Students visit Pennbrook with their elementary schools June 14th– Deadline for course request changes Late August– Schedules are mailed
Student Behavior Guidelines Increased Responsibilities & Rights = Increased Expectations Acceptable and Appropriate behavior is expected at Pennbrook Mr. Dukeman will go over our discipline code with all students in the first week of school Consequences for inappropriate behavior: • Teacher Detention • Lunch Detention • Visit to Mr. Dukeman • Phone Call to Home • In School Suspension • Out of School Suspension • Police Referral
A Successful Student... • Completes all homework and projects on time • Uses organizational skills (notebooks, tally sheets, homework) • Makes up work when absent • Asks questions • Participates in classroom discussions and assignments • Tries their best
