2. Introduction We would like to introduce you to Brainard Rivet Company, an Employee Owned Company (ESOP). We purchased the facilities, manufacturing equipment and processes from Camcar/Textron on May 1, 1998, and are now a wholly owned subsidiary of Fastener Industries. The highly skilled Employee-Owners at Brainard Rivet Company strive to maintain our reputation as a WORLD-CLASS SUPPLIERof high quality fasteners. Although we have retained the same manufacturing capabilities the industry has known over the past 98 YEARS, we continue to update our capabilities with new equipment, processes and training. Additionally, we have incorporated Nagform/Nagsim into our system, which is an advanced computer software program that simulates the progression of a part during the forming process. This is a valuable aid in determining the most economical method for manufacturing cold-headed fasteners.We also continue to update our computer systems, in order to continually improve work-flow. Our manufacturing capabilities include both ferrous and non-ferrous material (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper) in sizes rangingfrom 3/32” (2.5mm) through 5/8” (16mm) diameters. In addition to Small Rivets, Large Rivets, Shoulder Rivets, and BSN Rivets, we have secondary capabilities, including Drilling, Knurling, Grooving and Shaving. Brainard Rivet Company’s design, production and distribution operations are certified to ISO/TS16949:2009, an International Quality System Technical Specification. 3. 98 Years History of Brainard Rivet Founded as “Fowler Rivet Company” in Braddock, Pa. 1916 1919 Moved to Warren, Ohio renamed “J.W. Brainard Steel Company”. Townsend Company purchased the company & changed the name to “Brainard Rivet Company”. 1927 1951 Brainard moved to its present location in Girard, Ohio. Townsend Company was purchased by Textron. 1959 1998 Company purchased by Fastener Industries, Inc. and becomes a 100% Employee Owned (ESOP) company. Brainard celebrates it’s 98thanniversary! 2014

14. 109 Years Fastener Industries, Inc. March - Dr. J.C. Marting, Treasurer, Baldwin Wallace College incorporated The Ohio Nut & Bolt Company. 1905 Fastener Industries, Inc. became the parent company. 1964 1965 Modern Fasteners was built. Buckeye Fasteners was opened. 1972 1980 Fastener Industries became an E.S.O.P. Company. Buckeye Fasteners was moved into the Ohio Special Products building. 1982 1987 Joseph Industries was purchased. New plant was built for Joseph Industries, located in Streetsboro, OH. 1994 1998 Brainard Rivet was purchased. Fastener Industries, Inc. celebrates 25 years as an Employee Owned company and… 2005 2007 Plan-E-Tech was purchased. Ohio Nut & Bolt celebrates 100 years in business! 2008 Building addition added to Joseph Industries.
