Plymouth Public Schools Contact: Barry Haskell, Superintendent of Schools bhaskell@plymouth.k12.ma.us PLYMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM PROJECT GRANT Call for Grant Proposals Definition A Plymouth Innovative Curriculum Mini-Grant Project supports a project or unique learning situation that is developed and implemented by teachers. It must be educationally beneficial, innovative, exciting and worthy of being recognized and recommended for use by others.

9. Criteria • The applicants must be teaching full time for the Plymouth Public Schools. • The project should focus on a significant, innovative practical idea using iPods or iTouch to enrich curriculum, enhance instruction, and/or address authentic assessment. The project must directly benefit students. • Personnel costs are NOT an approved expense of the requested grant budget. • Upon completion of the project, award recipients may be asked to share information with other teachers, administrators, or School Committee during the 2007-08 and/or 2008-09 academic year. • Priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate the following: • Originality and innovation • Long-term implications for enhancing the curriculum • Support for inclusive, interdisciplinary classrooms • Specific outcomes for student learning • Broad impact with numbers of students and teachers involved • Alignment with Curriculum Frameworks and approved Plymouth curriculum

10. General Information Recipients will be awarded an iPod or iTouch and software, if needed. Selected projects are expected to be implemented by May 15, 2008. Two (2) hours of technical support will be provided.

11. Application Instructions Complete the enclosed application in its entirety, including appropriate signatures. Include a clear description for the proposed project, including student experiences and outcomes, and supplies/equipment to be used. The Plymouth Public Schools Grant Selection Committee must receive applications no later than January 18, 2008.
