Arts Integration • There is a growing body of evidence that supports the power and value of the arts in education. But we should also look at the contributions of the arts to school reform. The arts-integrated school could advance the effort to raise the standards, expectations, and levels of performance of our students. Indeed, education in and through the arts may be one of the best ways to make progress toward the national education goals and other, more sophisticated goals of reformers. R.
