  3. Don’t forget to agree to the terms Decide what username and password you want to use Your handle is your nickname. It can be the same as your username or different.

  4. What title do you want for your weblog? The URL should be similar but with no spaces. Don’t forget to type in the letters you see (to stop robots).

  5. If the address is already taken, don’t panic. Just choose one of the alternatives.

  6. Then press the orange arrow, and…

  7. …your weblog will be created. (You will also be given a chance to choose a design for your weblog.) But no-one will be able to visit an empty weblog, so let’s write a very short post. Before doing so, make sure you have written down your Blogger username and password.

  8. write a title here write your post here, then press the orange button. After that press the “Blog wo hyouji” button…

  9. … and you can see your blog. Well done, you did it! But make sure again that you know the following 3 + 1 things…

  10. The Blogger URL: www.blogger.com • Your username • Your password You also should write down the URL of your weblog. This is the answer to the question: “Where can I read your weblog?” It is important to get it exactly right, otherwise people won’t be able to find it.

  11. Your weblog is your own. Choose the design you like, and in general write about a topic that interests you; make your weblog unique and an expression of yourself. For the purposes of the course, you need to be using the weblog with confidence after the 2nd class, so you should practice blogging as often as possible in the first week, and bring any questions or problems to the 2nd class.

  12. A semester is short; a semester is long If you skip a week or two here and there, the semester will end without much progress. Be conscious of time passing! On the other hand, if you have technical problems for a few days, don’t worry; read, and then try again another day.
