Indianola Park had its own version of the popular Shoot-the-Chutes.
Phil Baxter and his “Texas Tommies” performed during the Big Band era of the 1920s and 30s.
Indianola Park contained many shaded paths and picnic areas.

Two of the most popular features in Indianola Park were the Dance Pavilion and the famous swimming pool.

The pool was from 3 to 10 feet deep and heated for the first time on May 20, 1908.

The diving horses were a popular act guaranteed to draw a crowd.
Park visitors could watch bathers in the pool. If they wanted to swim, bathing suits could be rented in the bath house.
The lights of the Dancing Pavilion are reflected in the dark pool waters. The Pavilion is the only remaining reminder of the once popular Indianola Park.
