Evaluation A bit different than other Academy courses
Course Evaluation • Evaluation components • Teamwork – 70% • Homework– 10% • Homework evaluation – 10% • 3 peer reviews per homework (excellent, OK, bad) • Attendancein class– 10% • Bonuses • Forumsactivity – bonus up to 10% • Helping new C# students – bonus
Pass / Excellence / Fail Criteria • Criteria for pass / pass with excellence / fail • Pass with excellence • Very high teamwork results • App in Windows Store • Pass • Average total results • App in Windows Store • Fail • Low total results or low exam results
Teamwork • Teamwork assignment is the main assessment • No exam, project defense instead • Your app will be evaluated by the lecturers • Build a finished Windows Store App • You will receive your course score when the App is approved for the Store (this could take time) • Teams of 2-3 students • You will receive a full list of project evaluation criteria in a few days • Your team thinks up an idea for a project and implements it
Homework Peer Reviews • Everyone will get feedback for their homework • Everyone will give feedback for few random homework submissions • Students submit homework anonymously • Please exclude your name from the submissions! • For each homework submitted • Students evaluate 3 random homeworks • From the same topic, after the deadline • Homework comments are not obligatory
Check Your Presence • You should check your presence on the barcode reader 3 times a day: • In the morning when lectures begin (~10:30) • After lunch break (~13:30) • When you leave academy halls (~19:00)
Windows Store Developer Account You need it to upload your app
Store Developer Account • A Store developer account permits you • To upload apps to the Store • To earn money from your apps • Typically paid (80 BGN/year for BG individuals) • You can receive it FREE through DreamSpark • If you don't have a DreamSpark account, request it with an e-mail to academy@telerik.com(don't forget to mention your http://telerikacademy.com username and that your are enrolled in this course) • A shared account will be provided • If your team does not want to make an account
