Mission Specialist Harry Coumnas • Harry Coumnas works on space shuttles, teaches pilots to fly shuttles, and prepares other mission specialists to fulfill additional technical astronaut responsibilities. • He is proficient enough to walk on the red surface of the moon. • He also assists with equipment testing and assembly, and he trains and supports other shuttle crews.

  3. Harry is Skilled in Astronautical Engineering • Harry evaluates the design specifications, measures, and enhances the system, component, and aircraft performance. • In the past, he developed aircraft and propulsion systems.

  4. His Position as a Former Officer of Planetary Protection • Harry Coumnas worked to support the development of plants to protect Earth from returned extraterrestrial samples, the formulation and implementation of space policy as it relates to planetary protection, and the responsible exploration of the solar system.

  5.
