  1. All Creation Sings How Life Really Began and Why You Need to Believe it! • September 23rd, at 10am • Pastor Jim Fox & Guest Preacher Bryar Kader • Living Hope Assembly of God • 2168 Roosevelt Hwy, Hamlin

  2. “Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You. All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah” Psalms 66:1-4

  3. Welcome to Earth... • Home to some 7.5 billion human beings • Only known planet in the Universe to support life • Perfectly positioned close enough to the Sun for warmth, but far enough away to prevent overheating • Case in point; Mars and Venus • How did the Earth become so well suited for life?

  4. Man’s opinion • Billions of years ago, an explosion (Big Bang) began space, time, energy, and matter. • Billions of years later, the universe cooled, making stars and planets, including the Sun and our solar system. • Earth cooled, comets crashed to the surface, bringing water and amino acids, building blocks for life. • Over time, amino acids made proteins, made cells, made sea creatures, made dinosaurs, birds, mammoths, and eventually people.

  5. Scientific Problems • Something coming from nothing? • Billions of years or wishful thinking? • Life from space rocks? • What makes something nonliving suddenly become alive? • The Universe is losing energy, not gaining it.

  6. Spiritual Problems • Doubt in God’s Word • Impression on the next generation • Effect on culture • Nothing more than an animal? • If no God, than no accountability

  7. Universe created in Six Days God’s Word

  8. Day one • Heavens and the Earth • Water-world Earth; without form and void • Temporary light source

  9. Day Two • The Great Expanse of Space • Separation of the waters of Heaven and of Earth • The Abyss; primordial waters of creation

  10. Day Three • Dry land and plant life • Opposite of man’s opinion; plants before Sun, not Sun before plants

  11. Day Four • Sun, the Greater Light, and the Moon, the Lesser Light (oh, by the way, He made the stars too) • Signs and seasons • Starlight problem and other cosmic dating methods

  12. Day Five • Sea life, flying creatures • The Great Sea Dragons • Birds before Dinosaurs?

  13. Day Six • Beasts, cattle, and creeping things • Creation of mankind; uniqueness within Creation • Adam and Eve in the Garden

  14. Creation sings God’s Praise • First Cause; logically, something can never come from nothing • Water; molecule perfectly designed to support life • Stars; engineered fusion reactors on a massive scale • DNA; basis for life, highly complex molecule with coded instructions for life

  15. What went wrong???
