  6. What is the PTA? As a public school, PS 132 is funded by the NYC DOE; however, the school budget does not cover all the enrichment activities that we believe all our students deserve.  This is where the PTA comes in. We fundraise throughout the year so that our kids have access to a stellar, well-rounded educational experience. We foster community by providing opportunities to work together with other parents, teachers, and administration in support of our school. As a parent/guardian of a student in 132, you are automatically a member of the PTA – no dues required. We operate in a respectful manner. There is no suggestion or idea too small, so please let your voice be heard!

  7. Programs Funded Last School Year • Recess Enhancement Program with Asphalt Green • Healthy Food & In-house Chef with Wellness In The Schools  • 8-week science residency, Grades Pre-K to 5 • 12-week dance residency, Grades K to 4th • 10-week music residency, Grades Pre-K, K & 5th  • Dance and literacy residency with New York City Ballet, Grade 1 • Interactive lessons with jazz artists through Jazz for Young People, Grade 5  • Annual STEAM Night • Middle School presentation • Teacher & Staff Appreciation • Lice checks
