Clinical Experience Improvements & Reasons to Celebrate!! • 2 week intensive clinical experience (40 hrs. minimum) • Weeks of Oct. 20th & 27th • Flexible time two weeks before and after • 5 hrs. prior to two weeks • Released from classes • Co-op teacher that is informed • UNC Charlotte faculty on site • Integrated assignments

Required Clinical Activities Clinical Experience Checklist During your two-week immersion in the field, you will collect various forms of data to reflect upon your experience in the elementary classroom. These data include: observational field notes, classroom documents, and interviews. The list below notes some of the possibilities for your data collection: 1.) Observational Field Notes 2.) Observe Science and Social Studies Instruction • These observations may occur during the two week intensive timeframe or during the two weeks of flexible time before and after • Schedule these to correlate with cooperating teachers instructional planning
Other Appropriate Activities Language Arts • Assist students in editing and revising pieces of writing • Read and comment on students’ writing journals • Work with students individually or in small groups for remediation or tutoring Reading • Read with students individually, in small groups, or with the whole class • Provide remediation or tutoring Math • Provide individual or small group remediation or tutoring
