Mice-cats • All people know the famous cartoon Tom and Jerry. A silly cat called Tom runs after a clever mouse called Jerry who teases him. • Mice are domestic animals. They can be divided into two groups: big rats and little hamsters. They have a long tail and big teeth. They can be black, brown, white, grey and blue. They like to eat nuts, grains and different food. Mice like to play with people.
Home cats — a predatory mammal, a family of cats. According to the researches, all house cats occurred from a group of wood cats in the Near East 10000 years ago. • The first home cat appeared in Egypt. It is written in different annals and documents.
Lionsare mammals.Lions are beautiful and big cats.They lived in Asia but now they live in the savannas of Africa.A group of lions consists of kindred animals and is called pride.A lion can be known by a big mane on its head.
About lions • Lion is a very big cat.When lion is not hungry,he can sleep near twenty hours. The lion isone of four big cats in the genusPanthera. With some males exceeding 250 kg. They were found in Africa, from western Europe to India and in America
Lion's cubs • Little lion's cubs are very nice ,aren’t they? Lions look after their children. They feed their children. Lions love their cubs very much!
Lions eat deer,zebras,antelopes and sometimes giraffes.Lionesses usually hunt one by one,but lions always eat first.Lion can starve a few days.
About the animal • Males reach heights to 5,5 m and weigh to 900 kg., As a rule, it is slightly less than female and easier. A neck of giraffes is extraordinary long .
Habitat • Giraffes live in savannas of Africa. Today they can be met only to the south from Sahara, East and Southern Africa.
Wolves Wolves
About the animal • Wolf, grey wolf, ordinary wolf — a predatory mammal of dogs’ family. Together with a jackal makes a small sort of wolves. A wolf — the largest animal in the family: the length of its body (with a tail) can reach 160 sm, height 90 sm; weight of a body to 62 kg.
Description. A tiger is the biggest cat on the Earth – the length is up to 3m and its weight is up to 300kg. It can develop the speed of 70 – 90 km/h. A tiger is an excellent hunter . It is a good swimmer and diver too.
Habitat • A tiger likes to eat different ungulates, it also eats fish and wild – fowl but more seldom.1-3 of blind tiger’s cubs are born every two years. It lives in forests, woods, river valleys, hills and mountains.
About the animal • Elephants are the biggest four-legged animals. They come from Africa and Asia. Africans elephants have got very big ears and Asia elephants have got little ears. Elephants have got a very long nose – a trunk and two long white teeth – tusks.
Food • They eat leaves, grass, and fruit. • Elephants can swim – they are very good swimmers. They love water • When the elephant sleeps, it usually stands. And as you know elephants help man work.
Descriptious Crocodiles eat fish, birds, mammals and occasionally smaller crocodiles. They can swim quickly and they love water. Crocodiles are green or brown. They have got relatives. They are alligators. Crocodiles swim in the water with the help of a tail. Crocodiles have teeth 5 sm. long.They put on eggs in the sand on the shore.
Habitat Crocodiles live in the tropics in Africa, Asia, America and Australia. Crocodiles live in the rives, lakes, bogs.
