  2. Get on the Bus • Most of us rode the school bus and complained. The ride was too long, there was no air, or the fact that we could not sit with our friends. Rosa Parks complained many years ago and that paved the way for you and me. • Let’s travel through history to find out more about her.

  3. Facts about Rosa Parks • Rosa Parks stood up for our rights. • She refused to give up her seat. • In comes the police • The Montgomery Bus Boycott began. • Blacks refused to ride the bus • The Boycott lasted 382 days.

  4. The Change • December of 1956, Supreme Court ends bus segregation. • Civil Rights Movement begins • The Civil Rights Act of 1964 • We all share the same rights today
