Why do we need BEC? • BEC Vantage/Higher Certificate, instrumental in the success of job hunting; recognized by 63 universities in UK as language proficiency certificate in place of TOEFL and IELTS (雅思); one of the most challenging tests in the market (vs. TOEIC). • Business English & TEM8 (TEM8 [2005] Interview is frequently used by employers as a means to recruit prospective employees.
