How-To Create A Fish Print Kindergarten have been learning to write How-To books these past few weeks. We hope that you enjoy and learn from reading our book.
What you need: • a dead fish • black ink • white rice paper • paper towel I’m dead!
1. First go to the sea or the supermarket and get a dead fish.
2. Then smother your fish with black ink. Make sure the ink covers all of the fish
3. Next place the white rice paper gently onto of the fish. Smooth your hands over the fish to touch each part of the fish.
4. Now gently peel the white rice paper off the fish.
5. Finally use the paper towel to blot off any extra ink on the rice paper.
(Reminder – fish printing is a Japanese art form called Gyotaku. Gyo = fish Taku = impression)
