  2. How to Save Money and Not Have to Borrow • While we lend money at BFWGGrants.org.uk we are still keen on consumers saving money wherever they can.

  3. Top Tips • Don’t buy food or drink from the local petrol station • While it may be convenient normally the petrol stations charge a premium for that convenience • Don’t fall for the “Buy two get one free” • Do you really need 3 bottles of pop? When 1 is all you really wanted

Top Tips • Don’t fill your fuel tank on your car to the top • Filling a tank to the top as it makes the car use more fuel • Don’t borrow more than you need • If you are going to take out a short term loan or payday loan, only borrow what you actually need. A lot of direct payday lenders will try and get you to borrow more than you have asked for.

  5. Top Tips • If you borrow money, check that you can pay off the loan early with no penalty • Some lenders do not allow early settlement. At www.bfwggrants.org.uk we charge a daily rate of interest and allow early repayments • Don’t always belief the Supermarkets when they claim a big price reduction so certain products. • Sometimes the new low price is the real price, but the product has been charged at a higher price in other stores for a short period of time.
