  2. Adding and Subtracting Radicals Some things to remember: (1) Only add or subtract radicals if they have the same radicand – number under the (2) Add or subtract the coefficients – the numbers in the front!!! (3) Do not change the radicands!!!

  4. Multiplying Radicals Some things to remember: (1) If there are two radicals, then you can multiply the radicands, then simplify (2) Distribute Property: A number and a radical can not be multiplied (3) You may need to FOIL!!!
