OUTCOME 4: “Increased access to and utilization of quality HIV- and STI-prevention services especially for young people (including adolescents) and other key populations at risk.”. OUTPUT 10 Enhanced national capacity for planning, implementation and monitoring of prevention programmes to reduce sexual transmission of HIV. ACTIVITIES 1- Provide technical support to LA Countries to enhance national capacity for planning, implementation and monitoring of prevention programs to reduce sexual transmission on HIV in selected LA countries. 2- Provide technical support to selected Caribbean Countries to enhance national capacity for planning, implementation and monitoring of prevention programs to reduce sexual transmission on HIV .
3- Conduct national assessment on the linkages between SRH and HIV policies, systems and service delivery with a focus on sex workers and young people in selected countries (Conducted the assessment in Haiti and Brazil , already Guatemala done). 4- Provide technical assistance to selected countries for the implementation of the comprehensive condom strategy framework (CCP), with special focus on young people and sex work. ( Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Brazil, Jamaica) 5- Train personnel from UNFPA CO and MoH of selected countries for the implementation of the comprehensive condom strategy (CCP), with special focus on young people and sex workers. (16 AL countries).
Output 11. Enhanced national capacity for addressing the HIV and SRH needs of young people and sex workers, including community-led organizations and networks. ACTIVITIES: 1- Strengthen institutional capacities of young people in armed forces and national police on HIV/AIDS and SRH in selected countries. (FLACSO) 2-Provide support to scale up HIV prevention & care services for migrants, women, girls in vulnerable conditions , sex workers and young people in selected LA countries (Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Haiti and DR) . 3- Provide support to scale up HIV prevention, legislation, SRH care services, sexual education for women, girls in vulnerable conditions , MSM ,sex workers and young people and others in selected Caribbean countries.
4-Strengthen civil society organizations and networks of sex works in selected countries to engage in programs addressing HIV and SRH-needs of sex, through regional workshop in SRH linkage to HIV with LA FSW leaders. (REDTRASEX). 5-Strengthen network of women living with HIV/aids to engage in programs addressing linkages of HIV and SRH and sexual care of this population through regional workshop (ICW)
