  2. Tour Handouts Liberal Arts Math 1 & 2 will be accepted as core beginning for Summer 2014 admits. Please remind students that admission is competitive. Students should take the most rigorous coursework possible for their success.

  3. SUS and Industry Certifications At this time, industry certifications approved for meeting mathematics and science high school diploma requirements are NOT accepted as one of the 4 math or 3 natural science credits required for SUS admission. Students may include information about any industry certifications in their application; however, it will not be counted as one of the 18 credits for admission purposes.

  4. SUS Foreign Language Requirement Students are still expected to complete a foreign (i.e., world) language at the 2nd level. Can be done by: Successful completion of 2 Credits in Same language (such as Spanish 1 & 2) 1 high school world language credit at 2nd level (such as only French 2) Passing AP, AICE, or IB foreign language course (because intermediate level) Completing a second postsecondary course (a world language Elementary 2) as long as the course is 4.0 semester credits Passing third postsecondary course (a world language Intermediate 1), regardless of credits STUDENTS NOT COMPLETING THIS REQUIREMENT WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL MUST MAKE UP THE CREDITS AT A POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTION PRIOR TO GRADUATION FROM A UNIVERSITY. WORLD LANGUAGE TO THE 2ND LEVEL IS ALSO REQUIRED FOR FCS A.A. GRADUATES.

  5. CS/CS/HB 851 OUT-OF-STATE FEE WAIVER Conditions: Attended secondary school in Florida for 3 consecutive years immediately before graduating from high school in the state; Apply for enrollment in institution of higher education within 24 months after high school graduation; and Submit official H.S. transcript as evidence of attendance & graduation. Students still: Have to submit residency for tuition purposes documentation. If found to be a non-resident, apply for the out-of-state waiver (and provide transcript evidence along with completed form). Students will not be eligible for state financial aid.

  7. Students with Disabilities Students with disabilities must register with the university Disabled Student Resource Center if they desire to receive accommodations.   8. Florida Virtual Campus Per HB 5101, Florida Virtual Campus will be moving to be under the University of West Florida. Hyperlinks to information found on Florida Virtual Campus (such as the advising links, Common Prerequisite Manual, Residency Guidelines, etc.) will be changing. Notice will be sent to DOE and District staff so that counselors will know where to find the information, including the distance learning catalog, in the future.

The Florida Virtual Campus will be housed under the University of West Florida, but will continue to provide the same services.The Florida Virtual Campus provides access to online student and library support services, and serves as a statewide resource and clearinghouse for technology-based public postsecondary education distance learning courses and degree programs.   13. GSV Test Scores for 2014-15 P.E.R.T. scores for 2014-15 HS Graduates align with the Florida College System: ACT Reading score increases to 19

Gold Seal Vocational Scholars(GSV) Early, 7th Semester evaluations - based on coursework in progress and GSV requirements: • 3 Vocational Courses in one Vocational Program • GPAs (3.0 for HS diploma coursework/3.5 in Vocational studies) • Test Scores • Service Hours Final, 8th Semester evaluations – based on GSV requirements and • Receipt of a Standard Diploma type as a proxy that student met the correct course requirements for HS graduation and • Reported HS graduation date
