Comprehensive Explanation Improve runway safety by preventing runway incursions • This objective aims at implementing principles contained in the European Action Plan for the prevention of runway accidents, by identifying and eliminating the risks of runway incursions; • The applicability area of this objective is all ECAC aerodromes. Nonetheless, it is for the individual National safety authority to decide upon the strategy of implementation at aerodromes within its own State; • Initial operational capability - 04/2003, Full operational capability - 12/2013; September 2013

Most important SLoA(s) • The most important SLoA is ASP01 - Establish a local Runway Safety Team and implement General principles contained in the European Action plan for the prevention of runway incursions; • This SLoA requires a Runway Safety Team to be established and maintained in order to lead action on local runway safety issues; • All other SLoAs require implementation of a number of recommendations related to various domains and by different stakeholders. Finalisation Criteria • All recommendations contained in the EAPRI Version 2.0 are fully implemented. September 2013
