Act Scores • Your scores are NOT static. They will change. • Your scores are NOT a reflection of your future potential. • Your scores going up is completely dependent upon how much you PRACTICE. • Output is in relation to input
How your test was scored • First, I counted the number of question on each test that you answered correctly. There is no penalty for incorrect answers. • Then, I converted your raw score (number of correct answers on each test) to “scale scores.” • Each test score (English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science) and your Composite Score range from 1 to 36. The Composite Score is the average of your four test scores, rounded to the nearest whole number.

How to read your Act Scores Doe, Jane
College readiness benchmark scores • This is where the ACT feels that this is the level you should be at given that you have had a solid education up until now • College Readiness Standards are early indicators of likely college success; however, success is defined as a 50% or higher probability of earning a B or higher in corresponding college level course
Let’s talk about this • If your score is lower than you anticipated… • Perhaps you didn’t pace yourself during the test • Perhaps you didn’t have time to guess and fill in all the bubbles • Perhaps you weren’t familiar with the types of questions that were being asked • If this is the case, have no fear • Next semester, we are going to prep like crazy! • If you put in the work, your score will go up
Before you leave: • Clean up the room!
