Grading System: • Band 6: 16 – 18 marks- insightful (aware/perceptive) response to poem- closeanalysis of language, meanings & effect on reader- closeanalysis of structure, meanings & effect on reader- sophisticated (stylish) response • Band 5: 13 – 15 marks- intelligent exploration of poem- analysis of language- analysis of structure- clear response to the poem • Band 4: 10 – 12 marks- thoughtful response to the poem- quotes used well and reflected on with thought- considerswriter’s language and effect on readers- considerswriter’s use of structure and effect on readers
