School Uniform Pupils have to come to school with school uniform and black shoes. PE Kit and white runners. Bought from several shops around Gozo: check quality and price!! Label everything with: Name and Surname
ATTENDANCE Regular attendance is important to give stability to your son/daughter and to avoid unnecessary disturbances in the classroom. SICK – avoid sending your son/daughter if s/he is sick. This will help avoid both the teacher and other pupils getting sick too. Parents are to send an sms on school mobile (79556401) if their son/daughter is sick: otherwise s/he will be noted as absent without a valid reason. GOING ABROAD – copy of flight ticket MUST be handed in to the school’s secretary office.

READING Make it fun Reading must be carried out daily: in both Maltese and English. Books both in Maltese and English should be available. Show interest in their reading – ask them to tell you about the story! Reading helps increase vocabulary and decrease spelling mistakes in both languages. Speak in English during English reading Speak in Maltese during Maltese reading
WRITING • For exams they may write in paragraphs or sentences • Check HW: Many children are missing pages • Neatness is very important • Soon pupils will start writing in pen • Spelling mistakes should be noted • Time Limit: children work too slow • At home give them a time frame in which they must finish
Correction/Tiswija needs to be carried out each and every time the pupil makes an error. This should be done prior to the CW or HW. At home check copybooks of children and see that they are doing their work neatly and unfinished classwork must be completed out at home.
