  4. What role do parents play? • identify problems • seek necessary helps • know our children’s need • communicate with child care workers

  5. Working together • Collaboration with child care workers • More, more and more communications • Plan together • Fine tuning

  6. Parents’ needs • To have what is best for our children • To do all we can to increase the likelihood that children will develop to their highest potential • To choose the service delivery option best meets our family’s needs • User-friendly services • To set our own level of involvement

  7. Children’s needs To have a right to the services that will enable them to reach their fullest potential Must be best served within the context of their families All possible opportunities to be integrated into community life
