Describe President Wilson. • Elected 1912 • NOT popularly voted, won with <50% because of split in Republicans • Democrat (NJ), Progressives : Wilson opposed Political Machines • Prog: Child Labor, Anti Trust; Federal Trade Commission • Controversial: racist? Supported segregation, watched “Birth of a Nation” in White House.
