What is the Registry? • Employment website • Funded by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office since 1995, based at Yosemite Community College District • Faculty and administrative full-time positions • Includes full-time classified positions and adjunct faculty opportunities
Who governs the Registry? • Title 5, California Code of Regulations, Section 53021 states that: • Recruitment for full-time faculty and educational administrator positions shall be at least statewide and, at minimum, shall include seeking qualified applicants listed in the California Community Colleges Equal Employment Opportunity Registry.
Who uses the Registry? • The California Community Colleges Registry constituents are: • All 72 district human resources offices of the California Community Colleges (as mandated by Title 5) • Anyone interested in a position at a California Community College full or part-time • The CCC Registry is free to those who post positions (CCC HR personnel) and free to those who are searching for positions (job seekers)
How can the Registry help you? • A streamlined paperless process • Online application for: • Certificated/Administrative • Classified Support Staff • Supplemental Questions can be customized and added to application • Diversity questions • Academic specific questions
How can the Registry help you? • Applicant tracking system allowing: • Access to applications for each reviewer on the hiring committee • Electronic tracking of all candidates for a position to include pre-screening of applications, review of all appended supporting documents, interview questions, etc • Systematically organizing all candidates for a position
How can the Registry help you? • Individuals on hiring committees can review applications at www.registryadmin.org • Access applications using their own user name and password • Review applications on your own time • From your own computer/laptop at office/home
Where do you go to get started? • The Registry has a separate secured administrative portal for district use only • www.registryadmin.org • The Registry can establish user names and passwords for hiring committees or your district HR office can assist
Why should you use the Registry? • Paperless application process—save trees, money, shredding, personnel time • Secured website with an online application and applicant tracking system • Accepting online applications increases the applicant pool and diverse candidates can be tracked in the system • It’s free! It’s easy to use! And it’s all online!
What can you do to facilitate the process? • A.S. Presidents can encourage their HR offices to accept the Registry online application from prospective candidates • The Registry encourages one position be “piloted” on the system to accept online applications—an adjunct position may be a good “pilot” position
What can you do to facilitate the process? • Call the Registry office to view a demonstration of the system • All training can be facilitated using CCC Confer, no travel expenses or time is wasted • Training manuals can be downloaded and printed directly from www.registryadmin.org
