  6. Benefits Suited to small single recruiter organizations but with multiple users can become client/server based. Recruiter stores the resume (usually received via email) Some applications such as CbizOne will extract the resume and candidates contact information into the database. The option to have the data automatically extracted is often a driving factor as it reduces the recruiters administrative workload Organization/Recruiter Stores resume locally and as such has a version of the resume that is easier to share with other team members Allows recruiter to log all contact with candidate for future contact Can generate reports detailing recruiter activities and track results Drawbacks Does not allow other members of the team to view the notes given the recruiter will have a unique login. One time cost or monthly fee. Some applications require data entry on the part of the recruiter. Organization/Recruiter Stores resume locally and as such has a version of the resume that is easier to share with other team members but is a risk if the PC crashes Options – Standalone

  7. Benefits Managed by company Can log notes into the service provider’s database. Reporting can be customized with service provider Technical expertise is included Limited Data Entry on the part of the Recruiter Can be logged into from anywhere Drawbacks Costly Brainhunter is approximately $10,000.00 annually Workopolis is similarly expensive Store resumes electronically at the service provider facilities. Must apply to specific job to be added to database and often have to log in and create a profile at the site i.e. Brainhunter/Workopolis Candidate has to create a profile to apply and this can be time consuming for candidate Challenges with resume sharing with other members of your team Options – Web Based

Requires network connection to operate and as such recruiter needs to be onsite or have a VPN (Secure Remote Connection) Requires technical support from the recruiters organization Options – Client Server
