Helen Thayer , who was born on Nov.12th ,1937 in New Zealand , is a world adventure. She is the first woman to solo the North Pole. She walked and skied alone to the magnetic North Pole in 1988 at the age of 50. In 1997, she spent her 60th birthday alone in Antarctica. Helen Thayer
