  6. “He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping (“perfecting” KJV) of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11, 12

  7. Where did our Bible come from? What is its purpose? Can it be trusted? How should it be used? What tools are available? What will be the result of proper use?

  12. When did our Bible originate? For nearly ½ of human history, there was no alphabetic writing! Is this a boast for the advancement of humanity, or a confession of weakened mentality?

  17. Prophets’ minds were inspired. Though the prophets expressed the thoughts with words that sprung from their own life experience, the entire process was under the direction and guidance of the Spirit, so that the result was the “word of God.” Paul could draw a lesson from the fact that “Seed” was singular. Galatians 3:16

  25. Why are the Ten Commandments called “the Testimony”? A testimony is a “witness” The Ten Commandments exhibit and portray the character of God Satan’s attack is against God’s Word (torah) and especially the Ten Commandments (the “Testimony”)

  26. “For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12, KJV

  27. For the word of God is quick (zao: “living” compare “protozoa,” “zoology,” “zoo”) It is “living” because it is given by God’s “breath,” the Holy Spirit It is “living” because even though it is from ancient times, it still speaks to the souls of mankind today

  28. The body of Adam came alive when God breathed into him “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7

  29. For the word of God is quick (zao: “living”) The “body” of the church came alive when Jesus breathed on them “And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” John 20:22; Acts 2

  30. The Holy Bible is “paper and ink,” yet it is different than any other book, because it is a living book, made “alive” by God’s “breath,” the Holy Spirit

  35. Jesus constantly referred to the Bible to support His teachings “Did you never read in the scriptures?” Mathew 22:41; 19:4, etc. “It is written” (not “It was written”) “It was written in the past and is still authoritative today.”

  36. “Jehoshaphat stood and said, ‘Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.’” II Chronicles 20:20

  37. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
