  2. Dancing There is also ballet folklorico that represents the Spanish cultures in NM. In New Mexico there are different types of dances that represent the many types of cultures throughout the state. For example: there is Native Tribal Dances that holds a special meaning to there culture. This picture was at the Pow Wow at the pit.

  3. Food Stuffed Sopapillas Tacos Another big part of New Mexico is the food. The food has mainly Mexican influences but with our own “flair”. Some well known dishes include: Enchiladas Burrito and taco dish

  4. Red Or Green Red Chile Green Chile Green Chiles also play a huge part in the type of food New Mexico is Famous for. They are used in classics like Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas. Unlike their siblings the red Chile, Green Chiles that are native to New Mexico are sure to make your eyes water. Both of these chilies are sure to make you want to have more and more. Red Chili is a New Mexican classic and is used in New Mexican cuisine. It is milder than the green chili but still has its own kick sure to make your nose run. Mexican Ristras are also made from these signature Chiles.

  5. Music • Throughout New Mexico there is an excess of different types of music. Along with many different music festivals (NM Jazz Festival) • There is Mariachi, Jazz, and everything in between.

  6. Housing • There are also many different adobe style housing that are around New Mexico along with regular styles found in the rest of the country.

  8. Animals • Animals that are native to New Mexico are the Roadrunner Gila Monster Prairie Dogs To me these animals directly symbolize New Mexico Because they are so different as is most of NM.

  10. Politics Santa Fe, New Mexico is pretty much where everything happens politically. Senators, representatives, the governor and all of his appointees meet there to discuss future plans for the state. I choose to put politics in because politics is what I’m good at, and understand more than anything.

  11. Aggies Or Lobos Aggies Lobos Lobos on the other hand are mainly from Albuquerque and its surrounding areas and are students, faculty, and anyone with a brain that are fans of UNM • Aggies are mainly from Las Cruces and surrounding areas and Represent all the fans Of NMSU and also students.
