  3. O is for… • Outside pressures Southeast Asia has lived with outside pressures from many powerful countries. These include Japan, Russia, The UK, France, China and the USA

She was held under house arrest as a political prisoner in her mother’s home since 1989 by the military government of Myanmar. She was released in 2010. She won the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize for her work to bring democracy to Myanmar(Burma)

  5. P is for…. • People live in river valleys Why? These rivers provide living space, drinking water, crop irrigation and transportation
