What do I do? • Graphic Design • Web Design • Video Production • Audio Production • Photography • Technology Resource
Who has used the system or at least been to the Multi-Media Request Portal Site? An Overview
First Look: Getting to the MMRP Click Here! EducationUSA.info
First Look: MMRP at a glance • How-to document • Design Examples • Stock Photo Library Educationusa.mojohelpdesk.com
Lets Get Started: Getting a Login Login with Google or Yahoo Start by submitting a ticket
So Now What? • Begin by clicking through the examples that are on the website • Brainstorm what materials you could use for your center and prioritize them • Talk it over with colleagues • Once you have what you want to create, now begins the process of creating the information that is being presented in your materials • Make sure to have estimates for producing materials and have talked to your REAC about those details All of this should be done before submitting a ticket
Best Practices: Ticket Submission • The more examples the better when submitting • Submitting finalized text • Picking images to use in your design • The more information the better • You can attach all of this to the ticket as shown earlier
Best Practices: Word Document Example • Includes text for the design • Logo that should be included • Since the final is 2 cards to each page this is perfect • This helps speed up the design
Best Practices: Final PDF • Not exactly like the submitted • Most files sent back are in PDF format unless otherwise specified • Some printers might need specific things like “bleeds” and “crop marks” Including these details helps me create the file they are looking for • My work environment is all Adobe
Best Practices: Video Projects • Sending video files via Dropbox / yousendit • Adding our EducationUSA touch • Creating playlists • We can give you embed codes to use on your center pages or host organization sites • Video archive page
Best Practices: Time Saving Tips • When sending updates to word documents make sure to track changes or change the color of the edits so they are easy to find • Most final print designs are PDF files so if you when reviewing and making edits a program like Adobe Acrobat is very useful or one of it’s cheap/free alternatives • Don’t reinvent the wheel, use the resources we already have PLAN AHEAD!
