  2. Autosome inheritance- dominant and recessive (a carrier does not show disease in recessive inheritance)

  3. Sex-linked trait inheritance • Genes that are located on the sex chromosomes are called sex-linked traits • Examples –Baldness and colorblindness

  4. Incomplete Dominance • Incomplete dominance is when the heterozygous phenotype is somewhere between the two homozygous phenotypes

  5. Codominance • Codominance is when both alleles of a gene are expressed completely- neither allele is dominant nor recessive

  6. Polygenic Traits • Polygenic traits- traits produced by two or more genes

  7. Epistasis • An epistatic gene can interfere with the expression of other genes • Example- albinism
